She's here!

Emilia came just over 1 week early. Joanna went into labor early Friday morning and almost 24 hours later at 2:10am on May 30, Emilia was born. We had an unplanned home birth due to the unpredictable quick progression of labor. She was born a petite 6 lbs. and 18 inches long. We are all healthy, extremely happy and getting to know each other.

Here are some pictures take within the first few hours after her birth. We will post more soon.

Love James, Joanna and Emilia

  1. You did it guys! Nice genes, she's beautiful! I can't believe that she came into the world just a stone's throw away. That's a story to tell and embarrass her when she grows up.

    p.s. nice blog layout!

  9. She is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Sending lots of love to the De Velasco-Kohnstamms. So glad all are healthy, and mom and dad are likely in that early baby bliss, sleep-deprived but euphoric awe. Enjoy it - there's no moment like it! xoxoxo
