Julian and Emilia overcame their colds and were back to their regular lively selves by the end of the month.  Emilia has been enjoying recognizing letters and trying to sound out words, she can even write her name (more or less). During the Canterbury summer break she attended a gymnastics class with her friend Lilah, and has since been showing off her new moves.  This month she also discovered frisbee and jump rope and is bravely putting her face underwater in the pool.  Julian is eating much better now and has begun to add some pounds - seems he cannot get enough bagel and cream cheese.  He is calling us by name - mama, dada, gaygay and where we once thought he would walk early now seems quite content with crawling.  Julian’s favorite things include: sneaking into the bathroom and closing the door, closing the door of any room he is in, pulling Emilia's hair, poking/pinching/fish hooking your mouth, waiving, getting and maintaining possession of the remote control, dropping his water bottle from his highchair, and playing peek-a-boo.
