November 2011

'Cooler' days are finally here and Joanna is settling back into a work schedule. Julian started daycare at the end of this month and so far has made the transition quite well. Amazingly, he is already 3 months old and has almost doubled his birth weight to over 12 pounds. He is really holding his head up now and on his tummy he even began to push across the floor a bit. Julian is so sweet - he loves to be swaddled to sleep and loves his warm baths at night and he is quick to smile or laugh at a funny face.

Emilia has fully entered into the "why?" stage and we find ourselves stumped many times trying to respond to her repeated questions. She really enjoys the songs that she learns in school and performs for us at home - an enthusiastic 'God Bless America' and 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town' are current favorites. She has also picked up some 'interesting' behaviors from the boys in her class that we are working to fix. Such as when she is mad with a pointed finger she shoots "peuwh-peuwh" and ends with " I put fire on you." Emilia is reevaluating her opinion of Santa and it seems she is now excited for his visit...we will see how the next few weeks go.

  1. Ok, I have to ask... did the ever-fashionable Emilia really go to The Falls and Village of Merrick Park on the same day or was it just the same outfit on two different occasions? ;)
